SIWACO GmbH was founded in 2000 as a trading company within the Irle Group.SIWACO profits from the experiences of the original equipment manufacturers Walzen Irle and Irle Kay Jay Rolls.The roots of the companies date back to the 17th century in Germany when the Irle family started a business in processing iron and began selling chilled cast iron rolls,which were produced by casting in chilled molds.By 1884,the Irle Group manufactured its first rolls for paper and cardboard production.Around this time,the Irle Group also received a patent for the world's first centrifugal cast rolls.
