The fuel for cars, trucks and airplanes are expensive in India by global standards anyway. However, the poorer sections in India which form a bulk of its populace need other fuels to cook their food. IPG, piped gas, kerosene etc. can be classified under the category of essentials for this section. While a lot of them find the initial cost of acquiring LPG and the renewal cost to be far too high many of them also say that the distribution infrastructure is not in place to ensure timely refills.
