Abandoned Oil Storage Vessel Threatens Caribbean Waters

Environmental groups warn that an international catastrophe may unfold in the waters between Trinidad and Venezuela if an abandoned Floating Storage and Offloading(FSO) vessel laden with crude oil is not addressed quickly.The US Embassy in Trinidad and Tobago has urged the Venezuelan government to take action to right the listing vessel,Nabarima,which has been rusting and taking on water.It appears that the Venezuelan government is finally taking action,almost two years after the unit was abandoned.
