A move into the liquids rich Eagle Ford Shale is likely to boost Texon Petroleum's production significantly by the end of the year, although its wells are proving to be less productive than expected. The result is that the oiler has fallen short of its targeted production, although it was expected that familiarity with the EFS wells and the drilling of additional wells should allow production to continue to climb at much higher rates than the Olmos formation wells which have formed the backbone of Texon's production.
