Example of nonexistence of a positive generalized entropy solution of a Cauchy problem with unbounded positive initial data

A Cauchy problem for a first-order quasilinear equation with polynomial flux function and exponential initial data is studied. We prove that this problem has no positive solution in the class of locally bounded functions.
