The tyre and rubber industry in India had high hopes on Union Budget 2018 presented by Finance Minister Arun Jaitley in the Lok Sabha on February 1, 2018, as it was the last full Budget of the Narendra Modi Government before the next general election. What faitley ultimately delivered for the rubber sector was a mixed bag of hopes and disappointments.
