Apollo's Q1 net profit drops 72%

Apollo Tyres Ltd has reported a 72% decline in its consolidated net profit at Rs 883 million for the first quarter ended June 30, 2017, as compared to Rs 3,150 million in the year-ago quarter. Net sales stood at Rs 32.58 billion as compared to Rs 32.92 billion in the corresponding quarter of 2016.
