Apollo's Q1 net profit surges 19%

Apollo Tyres Ltd reported a net profit of Rs 1.66 billion for the quarter ended June 30, 2013, up 19% compared to the previous quarter (Rs 1.39 billion). Operating profit was at Rs 4.04 billion, an increase of 12%, from Rs 3.6 billion. Net sales stood at Rs 31.9 billion from Rs 31.6 billion.
