Companhia Brasileira de Aluminio (CBA) is a 63 year old company located in Brazil that encompasses the entire aluminum production process from bauxite mining to semi-finished products- and everything in between (Figure 1). CBA has an install capacity of around 440,000 tons of primary aluminum per year, making them the second largest primary producer of aluminum in Brazil (first is Albras S.A.). The country is a net importer and CBA sells 100% of the primary aluminum it produces domestically. Main markets served are transportation and packaging, followed by building and construction products, and basic consumer goods.
