摘要

The proposed Pacific Connector pipeline would feed more than 1 billion cubic feet of natural gas per year into the terminal, which would be processed into LNG for shipment to Asian markets. In its decision letter, DEQ officials said the permit was denied because there’s insufficient information to prove the project would comply with Oregon’s water quality standards; concerns about the effect the construction and operation of the plant would have on water temperature and sediment in streams and wetlands; and the risk of a release of drilling mud into the Coos Bay Estuary during construction .
