摘要

In the present study, the asymptotic solutions for particle moment approximation of population balance equation for Brownian agglomeration have been obtained analytically. At long time, the dimensionless particle moment (M-C) is an explicit monotonic decreasing function of fractal dimension in the free molecule regime, while it is a constant in the continuum regime. The asymptotic agglomerate growth rate is consistent with previous qualitative analysis and numerical solution, but the present asymptotic solution is more concise and straightforward.
