摘要

Mathematicians have made significant contributions to mathematics education, especially at the college level. It is natural for mathematicians in academia to develop effective ways of teaching mathematics. The projects that tend to have more impact are those informed by current research based on established theoretical frameworks. Here, we make a case for more mathematicians to get involved in K–16 education research in collaboration with mathematics educators.
