Washington state utility Puget Sound Energy (PSE)has agreed to purchase renewable natural gas from Klickitat Public Utility District starting in July through 2040.PSE will buy 531 MMcf/yr for the first three years,rising to 1.5 Bcf to 1.8 Bcf annually after that.The methane will be harvested from the Republic Services landfill,produced at the H.W.Hill Renewable Gas facility in Roosevelt,Washington,and then put in the Williams Northwest Pipeline interconnection.
