Shell Looks to Sell Deepwater Oil And Gas Field in US Gulf

Royal Dutch Shell is looking to sell its Coulomb oil and gas field in the deepwater US Gulf of Mexico as it cleans up its portfolio ahead of a spate of planned investments in North America in the coming years. Shell has engaged Citi Global Markets to sell a 50%-100% working interest in the Coulomb subsea field, which is producing a gross total of around 15,000 barrels per day of oil and 87 million cubic feet per day of gas, according to marketing materials obtained by Energy Intelligence. Consultancy Wood Mackenzie estimates Shell's 100% stake in Coulomb is worth around $860 million, with roughly 36 million barrels of oil equivalent remaining in place.
