October gas futures traded sideways Friday, adding less than a half of a penny to remain in the high $2.70s per million Btu and putting a stop to a 14.5￠, 5% three-session slide earlier in the short holiday week. The market was pressured by an unsurprising storage build only slightly below the five-year average, which failed to offset bulls' concerns about record supply growth.
