GAULTHERIA ADENOTHRIX Ericaceae

Gaultheria adenothrix (Miq.) Maxim, is one of three species of Gaultheria L. growing in Japan, and one of two endemic Gaultheria species in this country having vicarious species in North America. The taxonomic history, affinities, description of morphology and the ecology of the species are described.
