Universal Tubes (UAE) to ramp up new pipe welding mill to project capacity in January 2011

Universal Tubes (UAE) launched pipe welding mill No.4 with the capacity of 100,000 tonnes in September and isplanning to ramp it up to designed capacity in January 2011. The mill is expected to produce around 15,000 tonnes offinished products (60% of the capacity) in Q4. The product range of the new mill will include ERW round pipes with 4-12.5 mm wall thickness and 8"-12" mm diameter, as well as 150x150-300x300 mm and 200x100-400x200 mm squareand rectangular ERW pipes.
