摘要

Influences of rubber process oils (RPOs) loading and aromatic carbon content (%CA) on properties of black filled natural rubber/butadiene rubber blends are of interest. The %CA of RPRs is controlled prior to being incorporated into rubber mixes, so that its effect on physico-chemical properties of RPO, rheological properties, cure characteristics and mechanical properties of rubber could be drawn. With increasing %CA, the increases in viscosity-gravity constant (VGC) and glass transition temperature of RPOs are found. The properties of vulcanisates are affected by RPO loading rather than %CA. The increased RPO loading gives a decrease in Mooney viscosity and cure retardation phenomenon.
