The investor outlook for Mozambique is beginning to lose its shine with corruption scandals and economic woes contributing to the increase in militant attacks around the Rovuma Basin, as construction begins to ramp up at early investments. The increased numbers of militant attacks in Cabo Delgado Province raises the risk for major LNG developments in the province with 2019 showing a signifcant rise in attacks. Loose afliation with regional terror groups raises the prospect of increased militarisation of the region, which could further infame tensions.
