Obligated parties carry one million tonnes of CO2 savings into 2021 Europe Germany

Quota-obligated parties saved almost one million tonnes of CO2 equivalent more than was required by the Biofuels Quota Law in 2019. This will be carried over into 2021 and help them meet their greenhouse gas (GHG) reduction targets with less effort. According to Customs data, obligated parties saved about 10.1 million tonnes of CO2eq in 2019 against 9.9 million in 2018.
