Copper usage in India growing at 5.3 CAGR which is 2nd only to China

Hopper is one of the best conductors of electricity, second only to silver. Globally, as well as in India, electricals sector is the biggest user of copper amounting to more than 50% of total copper usage. India lag behind the global averages when it comes to use of copper in power cable. Globally, around 51% of the power cable market uses copper cables while on the other hand the share of copper cable in the power cable market in India is at a miniscule 8%.
