Michigan Gov. Rick Snyder declines to act on Pipeline Safety Advisory Board resolutions relating to Enbrtdge Line 5, extends deadline for final risk analysis
LANSING, Mich. —Michigan Gov. Rick Snyder has declined to act on three resolutions from members of the Pipeline Safety Advisory Board relating to operation of Enbridge's Line 5 oil pipeline, including one that proposed a temporary shutdown where it crosses the Straits of Mackinac. In a Jan. 26, 2018 letter to members of the Pipeline Safety Advisory Board, Snyder thanked the board members for their service and outlined his rationale for not acting on the resolutions.
