Gov. Rick Snyder applauds Michigan Natural Resources Trust Fund board recommendations for nearly $28 million in acquisition, development grants

LANSING, Mich.—The Michigan Natural Resources Trust Fund (MNRTF) Board of Trustees recommended to the Michigan legislature that 70 recreation development projects and land acquisitions totaling $28 million be funded in 2016 at the group's Dec. 2,2015 meeting. The board considered a total of 149 applications seeking $50 million in funding. In a competitive process, all eligible applications were evaluated on scoring criteria developed by the board.
