摘要

Ultrasonic nondestructive testing equipment is widely applied in the aerospace sector, for inspection both during manufacture and in service. The technique relies on high-frequency sound, generally between 0.5 and 15 MHz, which is directed into the item to be inspected. In the pulse-echo technique, the same transducer is used for pulse emission and echo reception from one side of the item under test. The goal remains to characterize any echoes reflected from flaws or discontinuities.
