摘要

An electrochemical fatigue sensor (EFS) system meets requirements for bridge crack detection testing as stated in the 2005 U.S. Transportation Bill, reports Materials and Technologies Corp. (Matech), Poughkeepsie, N.Y. The bill includes a 5 million dollars allocation over four years for a program to test steel bridges by a nondestructive technology that is able to detect growing cracks, including subsurface flaws as small as 0.010 inches in length or depth. Matech believes only its EFS technology can meet these requirements.
