The Confederation of Paper Industries has welcomed a survey showing that consumers prefer paper to plastic when it comes to packaging. Not-for-profit Two Sides said its research found that two-thirds of consumers preferred paper packaging rather than plastic when shopping online. Paper and cardboard also ranked highest with consumers for environmental benefits, ease of recycling and home compostable benefits.
