The eddy current method is one of the most important non-destructive testing (NDT) technologies. Its common applications include aircraft skin inspection and heat exchanger tubes evaluation. The latter has been targeted by one of the latest products launched by GE Sensing and Inspection Technologies (GE SIT) and has released an eddy current product called "Apollo". According to Dave Jankowski, business leader of Eddy Current Products, GE SIT, Apollo is apart of a range of eddy current solution that has been developed by the company. Other recent launches of the company in the eddy current field include Phasec 3-a series of eddy current flaw detectors, launched on June 2008 and Pulsec-a pulsed eddy current test instrument implemented on September 2008.
