McPhy wins further French orders for stations, electrolysers

French hydrogen production and distribution equipment manufacturer McPhy has been selected to deploy two refueling stations connected to a 1 MW electrolyser, in the Dijon metropolitan region in eastern France. The company has also been contracted to provide a complete zero-carbon hydrogen production and distribution chain, including two hydrogen stations and 1 MW of electrolysis, for an unnamed project elsewhere in France. The Dijon Metropole local authority and energy company Rougeot Energie have established the project company Dijon Metropole Smart EnergHy (DMSE) to develop a regional hydrogen infrastructure. The first step in this {EUR}14.5 million project is to implement, in north Dijon in 2021, a McPhy hydrogen solution comprising two 400 kg/day McFilling hydrogen stations: one offering 350 bar, the other in a dual-pressure configuration offering 350 and 700 bar. These are coupled with onsite hydrogen production using a 1 MW McLyzer electrolyser powered 90% by electricity from a household waste incinerator, and 10% from locally produced renewable energy. In 2022 a larger station will be deployed in south Dijon.
