German-based Voith Composites and HRC, a leading Chinese composite solutions provider, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to jointly develop the next generation of lower-cost, high-pressure hydrogen vessels for fuel cell electric vehicles. FCEVs need to store a large quantity of hydrogen at high pressure, and this requires the development of new vessel concepts, process sequences, and material systems to meet current market requirements.
