Positive trend for 2017/18 crop season in Almería

The current vegetable season 2017/18 is developing satisfactorily in Almería. This is good news, considering that the past season from September 2016 to August 2017 concluded with extraordinary results and a volume of 3.25 million tons worth EUR2.1 billion. This is almost 30% more in value than the average for the years 2011-2016. This is the conclusion of the Cajamar Agricultural Bank's seasonal report 2016/17, which is based on estimates by the Andalusian government, Soivre (phytosanitary inspection service), industry businesses and the General Customs Directorate.
