Congressmen Introduce Bipartisan Legislation to Boost Pay for Engineers Hired by FERC

Reps. Pete Olson (R-Texas) and Gene Green (D-Texas) announced July 26, that they have introduced H.R. 6552, to give FERC the flexibility to consult with the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) and determine appropriate salaries to hire the staff they need, in an effort to compete with private sector salaries. FERC would be allowed to offer higher salaries to engineers if they can confirm a critical need to do so.
