摘要

The interdependency of the natural gas and electricity sectors will grow rapidly, and will force both industries to focus sharply on coordination, particularly at regional levels, according to a recent white paper report, Long- term Electric and Natural Gas Infrastructure Requirements, November 2014. The Illinois Institute of Technology (IIT) prepared the report for the Eastern Interconnection States’ Planning Council (EISPC) and National Association of Regulatory Utility Commissioners (NARUC), using U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) funds. Although prepared in November, NARUC released the document on Jan. 20, after DOE’s review.
