Freeport LNG Asks FERC for Authorization to Expand Its LNG Production Capacity of Quintana Island Terminal

Freeport LNG Development, LP., FLNG Liquefaction, LLC, FLNG Liquefaction 2, LLC and FLNG Liquefaction 3, LLC (collectively, Freeport LNG) (CP15-518) put another application before FERC this week, this one for a limited amendment to the authorization granted by FERC pursuant to section 3(a) of the Natural Gas Act (NGA) last year on 7/30/14 in Docket Nos. CP12-509 and CP12- 29. The July 30 order authorized the siting, construction and operation of the Freeport LNG Liquefaction Project at Freeport LNG Development LP’s existing liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminal located near the City of Freeport, on Quintana Island, in Brazoria County, Texas.
