Gas Producers/Marketers (NGSA) Call On FERC to Initiate Proceedings to Evaluate Fuels’ Contribution to Power Generator Markets

The Natural Gas Supply Association (NGSA) resumed a call on FERC to initiate a “comprehensive fuel assurance proceeding” and to hold technical conferences to gauge regional progress among the power producing/generating blocks in the U.S. The association representing the major natural gas suppliers in the U.S. made the recommendation in the context of written comments addressing six regional fuel assurance reports filed in February as directed by the Commission in ongoing proceedings: Centralized Capacity Markets in Regional Transmission Organizations and Independent System Operators (AD13-7) and Winter 2013- 2014 Operations and Market Performance of RTOs and ISOs (AD14-8).
