FERC Identifies Numerous Issues as Northern Prescribes Auction Procedures for Resale of Certain Storage Capacity

A FERC order issued 7/9/10 accepted and suspended for five months the June 11th tariff that Northern Natural Gas Co. (RP10-841) submitted to govern the resale of any market-based rate storage capacity under specific circumstances. The Commission concluded that Northern had not established that the proposed tariff sheets are just and reasonable and that numerous issues need to be considered further. The proposal is set to be effective on 12/12/10, subject to the outcome of a technical conference.
