A computer system for auctioning bets, the system comprising: a program memory storing a program code; and a processor for implementing the program code stored in the program memory; wherein the program code comprises: a code for controlling the processor to receive data of a bet regarding the outcome of an event and data identifying a seller from a seller interface, the data of the bet comprising data regarding the stake and the odds of winning; a code for controlling the processor to generate auctioning data using the received data, the auctioning data including an auction end time prior to the outcome of the event; a code for controlling the processor to generate an auction interface for displaying bidding data for bidders to produce an auction; a code for controlling the processor to receive bid data associated with the auction data and data identifying a bidder from the auction interface; a code for controlling the processor to end the auction at the auction end time and for determining a bidder with a maximum bid; and a code for controlling the processor to electronically transmit the value of the highest bid to the seller and one of: associating the bet with the highest bidder, and when the bet wins, electronically transmitting the value of the win from the seller to the bidder with the highest bid.
