摘要

Gradually, we are starting to become more aware of the origins and shipping miles of the foodthat we put into our bodies, what it's sprayed with and wrapped in. We have the daily choice to selectively avoid buying over-packaged and non-organic vegetables from far-flung corners of the world. But do we have the same level of conscience when it comes to the buildings that we spend our days living and working in? Our lives are framed by concrete and steel; accountable for 11% of global carbon emissions, then clad in timber from Russia, New Zealand and South America.
