EU adopts feed rule for GMOs

OFFICIALS from the European Union's member governments agreed on new regulations coverirg trace amounts of unapved genetically modified organisms (GMOs) that unintentionally end up in imports. This should help Europe's feed and livestock industries deal with the legal uncertainty they currently face in sourcing ingredients, the European Commission said following the Feb. 22 vote of the EU Standing Committee on the Food Chain & Animal Health.
