Treating non-wetting soils

Soils that can't hold water have difficulty germinating seed, supplying nutrition to crops and maintaining pasture. Non-wetting soils also increase the risk of wind and water erosion and are usually associated with sandy textured soils, however according to the Grains Research Development Corporation (GRDC) water repellence can affect some heavier textured soils.
