Goldacres revamps its G6 sprayer

The G6 was first produced about five years ago and the Goldacres designers and engineers have taken a fresh approach with the Series 2. While it may look similar, the changes to the G6 are widespread and aimed at simplifying the sprayer's functionality and improving capacity.Main tank size remains the same and boom width options are 36m, 42m and 48m.The improvements include increased capacities for filling and handling chemicals and water, beefed up hydraulic system and Danfoss OSPE steer-ready orbital.The new boom design is called the TriTech RivX and includes a combination of aluminium and riveted thin metal plates.The riveting and plating replaces the seam welding in the aluminium joinery of the traditional TriTech boom, which Goldacres said provides an increase of 300 per cent in boom fatigue strength.
