Combined photodynamic therapy with verteporfin and intravitreal anti-vascular endothelial growth factor therapy for chronic central serous chorioretinopathy

We thank Drs. Mak and Wong for their kind interest in our paper entitled "Single-session combined photodynamic therapy with verteporfm and intravitreal anti-vascular endo-thelial growth factor therapy for chronic central serous cho-rioretinopathy: a pilot study at 12-month follow-up" [Graefes Arch Clin Exp Ophthalmol 249:1159-1166]. In our manuscript, we already acknowledged the limitations of our study including that it has "a small sample size, the lack of the utilization of ICG-V to guide our PDT, and its retrospective nonrandomized nature". In addition, we stated "the mean CCSCR duration in the control group (PDT alone) is longer than in the study group (PDT and IVT anti-VEGF therapy), and in a condition where duration correlates with anatomic and visual outcomes this precludes any valid comparison".
