摘要

Exact biometry is an essential component in cataract surgery to obtain accurate refractive results [1]. The IOLMaster? is a precise and common instrument to obtain axial length [2-5]. We describe a case of a patient with diabetic retinopathy in which the IOLMaster? was not able to determine an axial length. Clear signals from a dense posterior membrane as well as from retinal pigment epithelium (RPE) and macular edema were received.
