DETONATOR SAFETY NEAR AM RADIO TRANSMITTING TOWERS

Users of electric detonators are rightly nervous near powerful radio transmitters, like the one we show in Figure 1. Under some circumstances, it is possible for induced radio frequency (RF) currents to fire a detonator inadvertently. We recently found some data about this that we think is worth sharing with our readers.
