The digital transformation of the tire industry has been underway for several years now,led by major tire makers and distributors,as well as suppliers of systems and equipment to the sector.Concepts such as big data,blockchain,industry 4.0,internet of things and artificial intelligence are,so,now being applied to many aspects of tire design,manufacture,distribution,retail and even recycling.But,partly due to the complex nature of these projects,there is little visibility around the achievements and progress being made within the tire industry in this important field.
