The field experiments were conducted from 2008-09 to 2011-12 with an application of human urine and cattle urine as nutrients to test crops like ashgourd (Benincase hispida (Thunb.) Cong.), french bean (Phaseolus vulgaris L.), pole bean (Phaseolus vulgaris L.) and pumpkin (Cucurbita maxima) which were grown sequentially in the same experimental plots. The experimental geographical area had been situated between 13° 292' North latitude 77° 543' East longitude and an altitude of 880 meters (2,890 ft)above mean sea level at Bangalore rural district (Karnataka,India). This experiment had 14 treatment combinations to study the effect of repeated application of human urine and cattle urine on growth and yield of vegetable crops. This experiment was concluded that the application of recommended dose of nitrogen through human urine in three split doses plus gypsum recorded higher yield (39.2, 14.2, 17.4 and 38.7 t ha~(-1), for ashgourd, french bean, pole bean and pumpkin, respectively).
