As profit margins on buying and selling oil continue to shrink and as it becomes more difficult to acquire attractive midstream and downstream assets,the world's top trading houses are exploring new ways to expand and remain competitive,including branching out into LNG trading(EIF May2'18).But the challenges are that much greater for the smaller players in the sector,some of which are losing money and looking to sell assets to stay afloat.
