Graphite demand to remain weak: Syrah

Short-term demand for graphite is expected to remain weak because of Covid-19 lockdowns, mobility restrictions and eco- nomic uncertainty afecting electric vehicles sales, according to Australian graphite producer Syrah Resources. The company suspended production at its Balama graphite mine in Mozambique during January-March and is uncertain when it will resume mining and processing operations.
