The Indian Supreme Court late last week declined to grant calciners and steelmakers an interim exception to its petroleum coke import ban, leaving the industries to wait until 9 October for a final resolution on the issue. A handful of cargoes have been unloaded at Indian ports in the days since India's Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) began enforcing a court order banning imports for all but a few industries. A few others are still on the water.
