Aluminium market defcit growing: Rusal

Supply disruption in the aluminium market is contributing to a growing supply defcit, while prices and premiums remain volatile, Rusal said. Disruptions at the ABI Quebec smelter in Canada and at Albras in Brazil have reduced global supply. But there has also been no signifcant rise in smelter production in China and in countries outside China because of high raw material costs and power supply disruptions, Rusal said.
