Turkish central bank pulls lira back after drop

Turkey’s lira depreciated by more than 4pc against the dollar today before recovering after an intervention by the central bank. The currency is still far lower than it was a year ago, decreasing purchasing power for fuel buyers seeking petroleum coke imports priced in dollars.
